Ibalansi Horse Center

''Balance is not something you find, it's something you create.''

We aim to teach a full understanding of your horse. Only by mastering the communication at eye-level, you will be truly ready to ask the horse for permission to jump onto its back. Horse riding is a fine form of art. Our goal is to teach this art-form. We believe in soft hands, voice commands and controlling the horse with body position and energy, rather than reins and legs. Riding should be a dialouge between horse and rider. Both horse and rider has to truly trust each other. The horse needs to know that no pain will be inflicted, and the rider has to trust the horse with his life.

"communication at eye-level"

Problem Horses
We offer the rehabilitation of so called problem horses. We know that every horse has a story to tell. Coming originally from Germany, I specialized in the communication with horses. I have studied Horse Psychology and my techniques are based on modern scientific research. By using Bodylanguage and positive Reinforcement, I become an important partner in the horses life. It is my passion to train horses into the level of liberty dressage. Our method „Ibalansi Horsemanship - be quiet so you can hear the animals speak“, focuses on communication at eye level. We first observe, then communicate and finally re-shape undesired behaviour.

Many problems with horses derive from species-unappropriate stabling. The intense way of keeping horses during modern times could not be more complicated from the way nature intended a horse to live. Have you ever asked yourself the question what it must be like to be stalled in a tiny space for 22 hours a day? And then spend the left over 2 hours being stabbed with spurs and gagged with bits? In our human-world we view being locked up in prison as the highest punishment an individual could get. But why are we doing it to our horses?

Livery
We welcome any problem horses to stay in our livery programme while being rehabilitated. This is our way of keeping horses as close to natural conditions as possible. Your issue horse will be able to quickly release stress and frustration this way.

Backing
Another passion of ours is the backing of young horses. Many people literally break in their youngsters. Our method is individually tailored to the specific youngster. We use a very well thought-through and tested method of backing young horses. With enough time in the preparation to backing, the horse undergoes minimal stress. We aim to motivate our horses withpleasant work, rather than frustrating them.

Once the basics of a riding horse are set, your horse will be able to achieve anything.

Clinics
We also offer Silent Horsemanship lessons, workshops and clinics. We are keen to teach you how to read horse behaviour and show you the way into a positive relationship with your own horse. Our clinics will be topic specific. A few examples of these topics include: the lazy horse, the hot horse, trailer loading, vices, young horses, western riding, bitless riding, and many more.

We welcome all age groups - from youngsters to the elderly, couples, individuals and families. We believe that it is never too late to learn and discover the amazing relationship with horses.

If you have the desire to not only learn how to control a horse, but also how to become its most important friend, then this riding school is for you. We aim to teach a full understanding of your horse. Only by mastering the communication at eye- level (on the ground), you will be truly ready to ask the horse for permission to jump onto his/her back.

Horse riding is a fine form of art. Our goal is to teach this art-form. We believe in soft hands, voice commands and controlling the horse with body position and energy, rather than reins and legs. Riding should be a dialouge between horse and rider. Both horse and horseman/woman has to truly trust each other. The horse needs to know that no pain will be inflicted, and the rider has to trust the horse with his life.

From beginners to experienced riders- we can accomodate all your needs and do our best to teach you something new and exciting. We believe that the art of horse riding is not comprised by only one riding style. Fine riding can happen in all disciplines: english, western, jumping, dressage and hacking. No riding „method“ is right or wrong- it is up to us what we make of it. We offer to teach the traditional english riding style, as well as proper western riding. All riding pupils will learn a broad spectrum of skills during their development and have fun doing so! Another special aspect of our riding school is that we aim to only ride bitless. Each riders goal should be to train and ride a horse that well, that the bit becomes unnecessary.

Our livery facilities are based on the concept of species- friendly life. It is in a Horses nature to roam free as much as possible. We can facilitate their needs for social interaction, movement and safety, while receiving daily health care and appropriate feed. Our stables are designed to faciliate social ineraction between horses while being stabled. Modern research confirms that horses are far less stressed if always in ear or eye sight of other herd members. Our stables allow horses to see, hear and touch other individuals at all times. Even when laying down, our horses will be able to see each other and therefore have a sense of safety. Our feeding concept is based on their natural diet. Grazing and roughage are made available ad libitum and concentrates are fed in many smaller portions throughout the day. This ensures a healthy gut system, and reduces the risk of colic.

IBALANSI FARRIER SERVICE

Ibalansi & F-balance:

Adam is a certified F balance method farrier who specialises in barefoot trimming and shoeing horses.

F balance is established in Europe and especially Germany. F-balance is described as follows:

The F stands for flexibility. His take home message: the hoof is more flexible than the head. He trims the hoof according to three natural factors:

  1. 'Heel length: Anz found that every heel shows where it wants to be cut by showing a little crack or bend caused by the stress of the overgrown material. The distance from the stress point to the hairline happens to be the same medial and lateral and even the same on both limbs of the fronts or hinds.'
  2. 'Sole level: the hoof wall should be trimmed to the level of the functional sole.'
  3. 'The functional sole may not be cut.'

To make a reservation for Adam's mobile service, please send us an email or give us a call.
